On Monday, August 29, the junior varsity Braves celebrated their first win against English Valleys with a score of 54-8.
Mitch Gibson scored the first touchdown with a seven-yard run in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Dillon Wilhelm made a 35 -yard touchdown pass to Gibson. Later in the quarter, Bryan Gregson made a touchdown run.
The Braves scored three times in the third quarter. Seth Fahlenkamp made a 57-yard touchdown run. Luke Goodman ran the ball four yards for a touchdown. Jake Hasley caught a 62-yard touchdown pass from Sidney Roorda.
Jay LeBahn completed a five-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Tyler Foubert, LeBahn, Wilhelm, Gibson and Goodman all completed two-point conversions.
Coach Keith Sietstra said, “We definitely have some things we need to continue to work on, but for our first game of the season, we did a lot of really nice things.”
